Math Marvel is a math learning app for iOS and Android. This policy explains the information the app handles, why it is used, where it is stored, and how to request its removal. It covers the Math Marvel app and the account associated with it.
| Information | How it is obtained | Why it is used |
|---|---|---|
| Account details, including a Firebase user ID, email address, display name, profile photo URL if provided by a sign-in provider, sign-in provider, and account/login timestamps | When you create an account or sign in with email and password, Google, or Apple | To authenticate you, maintain your account, and restore your learner profile across devices |
| Learner name or nickname, selected learning stage, and learning goal | Entered during onboarding or changed in Settings | To show suitable math content and recommendations |
| Practice and puzzle activity, including questions, submitted answers, correctness, hints, session dates, puzzle moves, and progress | Created as you use the learning activities | To provide feedback and show progress on the device |
| Notification permission choice, an app installation identifier, device platform, and push token | Created or received when notifications are enabled | To send optional learning reminders and app news to that device |
| Account-deletion request status and request date | Created when you submit an in-app deletion request | To let the operator process the request manually |
The learning stage is an age range, not an exact date of birth. The app does not ask for a home address, precise location, contacts, camera access, microphone access, or payment information for its learning activities.
Account details, learner name, learning stage, learning goal, and any enabled device push token are stored using Google Firebase Authentication and Cloud Firestore. Your learner profile can be restored when you sign in on another device.
If you sign in with an email address and password, Firebase Authentication handles the password. Math Marvel does not add your password to its Firestore learner profile or local learning-history records.
Practice answers, completed sessions, and puzzle history are stored in app data on the device. They are not currently synchronized to the Math Marvel cloud account. App preferences and notification choices are also stored on the device. Your operating system may include app data in a device backup according to your device and backup settings.
Firebase and the sign-in or notification providers you choose may process technical information needed to operate their services, such as device or network identifiers and security logs. Google describes its Firebase data practices in its Firebase privacy and security information. Google sign-in and Apple sign-in are also subject to the respective provider's privacy terms. Firebase services may process information in the United States and other locations where their infrastructure operates.
We use the information above to provide sign-in, personalize learning content, save a learner profile, display progress, deliver notifications when permitted, maintain account security, and handle account-deletion requests. The current app does not include advertising, in-app purchases, or an analytics or crash-reporting SDK.
We use Firebase as a service provider for authentication, cloud learner records, and push messaging. If you choose Google or Apple sign-in, that provider handles the sign-in process. Push delivery also involves the device platform's notification service. We do not publish learner profiles or practice answers to other app users.
